Vomities, Fluids, and Well Wishes From Famous People

A quick update on my situation:

Since I've escaped from 8A, I have been going into the Medical Day unit for various treatments. I've had some good days (I'm eating well, hydrated, feeling relatively okay), and some bad days (dehydrated, nauseous, headachey, physically drained), which is pretty standard for the course. The last few days I've been feeling good, getting as much fluids and food into me as possible. Hopefelly this week I'll learn a bit more about my bone marrow transplant. Here's to hoping my brother is a match.

Also, I have a big thank you to go out to a Mr. Rob Currie. Rob is a Dal law prof who also has played with the popular Maritime folk outfut The Cornerboys. He is also a frequent customer at the coffee shop my girlfriend is working at. Somehow, Mr. Currie was able pull some strings and asked a couple of members of The Pogues, James Fearnley, and Jem Finer, to send a sick fan some well-wishes, which I received this weekend. This was a great surprise birthday present (it was yesterday, I'm 27), and I appreciate Rob for going to the trouble of doing this for someone he hasn't even met before. Thanks also to James and Jem for their messages - you both have instantly gave me like TONS of scene cred points for those. See if you can convince the reformed Pogues to play Halifax in the future.
