Yeah, well, I could fly around the world if I wanted too, but I just don't feel like it, that's all.

So, some dude is going to try to launch the first ever non-stop circumnavigation of Earth in a jet-powered craft today. The money behind this attempt is coming from Virgin, so I expect to see Richard Branson skydive out of the plane and into a speeding Jaguar at the end of this flight.

Just Like The Grammys, But With More Rita MacNeil

The Top 5 Things About Being In Sydney For The East Coast Music Awards

  1. The chance of coming face to face with such musical luminaries as Gary Beals, George Canyon, and Matt Minglewood. Star power, baby!

  2. "The Downhomer" at Jasper's (fish cakes, baked beans, eggs, sausage, toast). Your arteries won't know what hit them.

  3. Vapours from the Tar Ponds give your skin a healthy "glow".

  4. The opportunity to network with any CBC executives who happen to be in town. Maybe I can convince them to make a new version of "The Beachcombers", with myself in the role of "Relic".

  5. I can try to convince some naive rich woman from out of town that I'm one of the Rankin Family, and perhaps get myself a sugar-mama.

Boner And His Merry Band of iPod Salesmen

I have never really been a fan of U2, and this story is just another reason why I never will be.

You Sunk My Scrabbleship

Fireball Island: This was the best board game ever. Period. All other board games pale in comparison. Fireball Island is to Burt Reynolds as all other board games are to Tom Selleck. Fireball Island is like Courvoisier, while all other board games are Wild Turkey. Fireball Island is Iggy Pop, while other games are John Mayer. And so on.
